BACIΛЄYC BACIΛЄⲰN KANHÞKOY ('King of Kings Kanishka' in Greek) Kanishka I standing facing, head to left, sacrificing over altar with his right hand. Rev. 'NANAI' (in Greek) Goddess Nana standing right, nimbate, holding scepter in her right hand and box in her left; to right, tamgha. Göbl, type 777. MAC 3087. Rare. Corrosion spot on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.

This earliest issue with Greek legends was issued only in Kanishka's first year of rule. From the second year onwards, the legend appears in Bactrian only.
